

Go down to Start>programs>accessories>paint and the ms paint editor will open. So, with the image you want clearly in view on the screen press the print screen button. Go to the 'Print Screen' button which is is usually situated along the top row of buttons between the main part of the keyboard and the numbers section. This is especially useful if the picture either has some kind of copy protection or you have loaded the image which uses 'flash'. Now the other option is to save the picture as a screenshot.

Now the picture is saved you are able to load it into your favourite editing software and print it off or edit as you want. file depending on your photo editing software and be sure it doesn't save as a bitmap file. I have given this picture 'Ivy saved from landscape juice' and you will also be asked what format to use. In your save option you will be asked to give the file an identifying name. I have various locations within 'my pictures and a separate folder for all of my Landscape Juice files. Right click on this and you will then be asked to save the picture to a designated file. Then 'save image as' which in this case is the one we want. Copy image location allows you to save the URL and either paste it directly into the browser or insert it into a document. Copy image lets you make a copy and you can right click into a word document and save it directly. Then I have view image which does what it says. I have Snipshot online photo editor for re-sizing (although I rarely use it). You are presented with a number of options now and these will vary depending on what you are using on your computer. (if you left click on the screenshot you will see this more clearly) Now right click anywhere within the body of the image and a menu will appear. This one is still particularly small but it makes life easier for uploading rather than a large file. The picture will open in a new window of which the size is determined by the way it has been saved. The thumbnail picture is a little small to see the detail so I have left clicked on it to enlarge in a new pane. There are a couple of ways of doing this but bear in mind the photo will not always save as the same quality or print the same quality that you are looking at.
